China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing today (25th) announced the logistics operation data from January to July. Affected by high temperatures, heavy rains, and the spread of local epidemics in some areas, the growth rate of total social logistics has slowed down, but overall, the cumulative growth rate has remained at a relatively fast level, and the continued recovery of the logistics market has not changed.
In July, the logistics industry's prosperity was affected by seasonal factors, and the expansion was weaker than the previous month, and both ends of the logistics supply and demand slowed down to varying degrees. Cumulatively speaking, from January to July, the total social logistics in the country was 179.2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%, and the growth rate was 1.7 percentage points lower than that in the first half of the year. The two-year average maintained a rapid growth of 7.1%.
He Hui, Assistant to the President of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Director of China Logistics Information Center: Despite the impact of high temperature, rain and local epidemics, the entire logistics business activities have dropped significantly, but regardless of the scale of the entire logistics demand, In terms of the scale of the logistics market, it is better than the level before the epidemic, reflecting that our current logistics operation is still maintaining a steady growth trend.
From the perspective of the total structure of social logistics, industrial product logistics has continued to recover steadily, and new kinetic energy is still strong; import logistics demand has slowed, and the growth rate has continued to decline; logistics demand related to people's livelihood has continued to stabilize and improve.
Specifically, in industrial product logistics, the growth rate of each major industry has slowed down to varying degrees, but the equipment manufacturing industry has maintained a steady growth, and the high-tech manufacturing industry has continued to grow strongly. The demand for electronics, new energy, shipping and other related products continues to be strong, and the output is showing a rapid growth trend. From January to July, the high-tech manufacturing industry grew by 15.6% year-on-year, which was 9.2% faster than industrial logistics; the two-year average growth rate was 12.7%, which continued to play a leading role.
On the basis of steady growth in demand in the logistics market, logistics supply capabilities have also been continuously enhanced. From January to July, the total revenue of the logistics industry was 6.8 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%. The average annual growth rate for the past two years is 9.1%, maintaining a steady and rapid growth, indicating that the logistics market is still in an upward channel. Experts said that due to some short-term factors, logistics growth has maintained a relatively rapid growth rate, but in the long run, the decline in growth rate is also a normal phenomenon.
He Hui, Assistant to the President of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Director of China Logistics Information Center: This year we have overcome the impact of the epidemic, and the recovery of the global economy has more demand for our product supply chain, and it is also a phased factor that has caused us to resume growth. From a long-term perspective, our entire economy is very large and has a large base, so the growth rate is also a gradual decline. The current (growth) level is higher than normal.
